JAPAN TRIP PART 1

After one month plus, finally doing this now!
I wanted to update a post and make a video for my 8D7N Japan Trip once I came back to Malaysia
but I told myself to wait for a month as I need to prepare for my final exam right after the trip.
Guess it can't be as detail as how I wanted it to be already since the trip happened a month ago but really wanted to save all these down.
Hopefully it can be a good reference for the future me & whoever wanted to go Japan!

- - - Throwback to Japan Trip : Kyoto & Osaka (9th to 16th of November 2018) - - -

DAY 1 ( 9th of November )

FLIGHT : AirAsia - 14:15 to 21:40
(cost around RM1.5k per person in total)

(Didn't know the food actually taste good hahaha)

Since we reach KanSai Airport at around 10pm, we spent our first night at Shin-Imamiya.
To go Shin-Imamiya from airport, you need to purchase this ticket (as shown below) which cost 920yen / person.

And ta daa, this is the place we stay on our first night - Hotel Shin-Imamiya.
I kinda like the place, it's my very first capsule experience,
it feels so so comfortable staying in my own "comfort zone" hahaha
Most importantly, it's affordable, especially if you book during promo period.
Believe it or not, it cost only approximately RM 332 for 5 persons!

Here are some pictures of the place :

(Things you need to do at Japan : take a pic with vending machine hahaha)

DAY 2 ( 10th of November )

Day 2 is actually my very first day at Japan since all I did last night is just sleep!
A good day start with good breakfast but we are still new here so ...
The safe place - FAMILY MART! Tbh, I really like grab-and-go kind of breakfast tho.
All these cost around 2230 yen!

Then, KYOTO HERE WE GO !
To travel around Japan with their public transport, you can get this card called ICOCA.
It cost 500yen/card as deposit and you need to top up min 1000yen/card at the beginning,
after that you can top up as you wished.

*Tips: Just return the card before you leave Japan to get the 500yen deposit back, but if there are credit left in your card, they will only refund if it is above a certain amount (but I forgot how much dy) so do google about it! Or else you'll waste money on it like what we did urgh*

Public transport all day everyday at Japan because they don't support Grab/Uber lol

But it's actually comfortable and clean + nice scenery too!

We travel from Shin-Imamiya to this place called Tofukuji as our Kyoto Homestay called Riverside Machiya Traditional House is near to this station.

Trust me, locker like this is very important lol
Because you probably don't wanna carry your luggages to everywhere you go right.
The problem is, IT IS ALWAYS FULL.

Found this waffle at Kyoto Station if I'm not mistaken, it smells REALLY GOOOOOOOD YOU KNOWWWWW, so I bought HAHAHA It's about 129yen for one (but depending on the flavour too)

It taste really good too omg I really like waffle, can never say no to waffle.

Then there is this shop located somewhere middle at the station so it became the very first shop we went in for food at Japan!

Basically you press the machine located outside of the shop to make your order and pay.
Then you go in to collect the food and get a place to eat only, so efficient!
All these foods as shown below cost around 1580yen.

Then while we are on the way walking from Tofukuji Station to our Kyoto Homestay,
we found this random mochi shop that is selling some really good looking mochi so we bought.
OMG THAT WAS THE BEST MOCHI IN MY JAPAN TRIP.
It cost around 510yen for 2 red bean + 1 green tea mochi but we don't get to eat it again even until the day we leave Kyoto because it's either closed or not ready to sell yet whenever we pass by.

*Tips: When you realise something taste good, just buy more to eat first so that you don't regret! hahaha ok just kidding!*

It took about 15 mins to walk from the station to the homestay but the scenery is really nice and I personally really enjoy walking so it's goooood!

This is how the homestay look from the outside, it cost about RM400+ per night so in total this place cost approximately RM900 as we stayed there for 2 nights!

This house isn't very big but it's really really really really peaceful.
It's like out-of-the-world kind of peaceful lol
The design is kinda nice too I would say, it's like a mixture of modern and tradition!
*Totally Recommended! It worth the price!*

Then here we officially start touring around KYOTO!

FIRST PLACE : FUSHIMI INARI TAISHA

If you realise, WhatsApp actually got an emoji for this place!
Really happy to make it to the place! No entrance fee btw.

Not to forget, there are some food stalls there toooooo!

Chicken Stick cost 500yen per stick whereas the Takoyaki cost 500yen per box.

We wanted to go back to somewhere nearby our homestay to have dinner at first.
Sad thing is, ALL SHOP CLOSED when it's just 6pm lol
so, safe place again > FAMILY MART! hahaha All these cost around 3744yen.

What impressed me is this "bowl-mee" - really got egg as shown like the picture lol!

They said this FamilyMart gyoza taste really good too, and I see it almost everyday since then lol
